This cheese bread recipe is incredibly simple, and the bread is full of flavor, fast and easy to prepare.

You should definitely try it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white bread flour (or wholewheat or cornmeal flour, which ever you prefer)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200 g/7 oz coarsely grated Ementaler, Cheddar, or Gouda cheese

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 200° C/400° F.

Place the flour in a large mixing bowl. Add the baking powder, salt, milk and cheese. Mix well all the ingredients.

Lightly grease a baking pan, then spoon the mixture into it.

Bake for about 30 minutes until the bread has risen and is golden brown.

Run a knife around the edge to loosen the loaf.

Turn it out onto a wire rack to cool slightly and serve warm, or leave it on the rack until it completely cools.

If you want to store the loaf, wrap it in a foil or seal in a plastic bag.
